Many years ago, at the young age of 12, our founder Danny Barentine started following in his parents’ footsteps in the HVAC/R industry. He gained real on-the-job experience and learned the ins and outs of systems. He also learned how to take excellent care of customers, their homes, as well as their businesses. Fast forward more than 30 years later, where Danny and his team have become leaders in their field with a company founded on the same Christian beliefs and values when he first started.
We opened our doors as Compass Mechanical with the aim to be the HVAC/R service provider our community deserves. As Danny grew up in the industry, he found that the values he was raised with did not seem to exist with other companies. Most providers lacked the willingness to go the extra mile, provide people with honest service and fair pricing, and be the example for other companies to follow.
For Danny, his goal was to be this example because it’s the right thing to do. That’s why he spent 10 years laying the groundwork to open Compass Mechanical. He wanted to make a transition back to the core values that mattered to him and the customers he served. The result is a good old-fashioned family business like the one he grew up in, one that continues to earn the trust of Texas home and business owners by doing all the right things.
